Between 5 & ten arc flash explosions occur in the U.S. per day, according to CapSchell Inc, a research company that specializes in workplace accident prevention. Injuries resulting from arc flash are typical of an explosion & may include flash burns, hearing loss, vision loss, general trauma & death.
John Welch, Director of the Southeastern Critical Power Group for M.C. Dean Inc., is recognized as an industry expert in power equipment integration & maintenance. John will discuss arc flash loss prevention regulations & industry best practices, the causes & effects of arc flash hazards, the need for an AFLP Program, & the steps necessary to implement an effective AFLP Program. He will also shed light on how awareness of the issue can provide cost savings benefits to engineers, property managers & building owners.
